Life Events and Changes

You must complete your benefits enrollment within 31 days from your initial eligibility or qualifying life event date. Otherwise, you can enroll or make changes during the annual open enrollment period for coverage effective January 1 of the next calendar year.

 

MID-YEAR CHANGES

You can make changes to your elections during the year if you have a qualifying life event, such as:

  • Birth*/Adoption of a child

  • Marriage or Divorce

  • Spouse/Dependent loss or gains benefits

*Birth - Newborn Coverage

Newborns will not be automatically covered for health insurance following delivery, in accordance with details outlined in Pernod Ricard’s plan description. In order for coverage to be implemented, you must complete a qualifying life event through Workday within 31 days. During this period, you can: 

  • Add your baby to your current health insurance plan. 

  • Change plans entirely if needed. 

The qualifying life event change in Workday must be completed within 31 days from the date of birth and documentation must be provided.  Once the qualifying life event is completed, coverage is retroactive to date of birth.
